**Job Description**

The Furnace Operator supports the full casting process by preparing molds, operating melting and pouring equipment, and handling cast parts through post-casting stages. This role ensures safe, efficient, and consistent furnace and heat-treat operations in a foundry environment while maintaining high quality standards for metal castings.

**Responsibilities**

+ Verify that molds are properly prepared, cleaned, and positioned before casting begins.
+ Inspect molds for defects or irregularities prior to use and report any issues promptly.
+ Load and transport raw materials, molds, and related supplies needed for the casting process.
+ Operate and maintain air rollover melt equipment in accordance with safety and quality procedures.
+ Operate and maintain vacuum melter equipment to achieve consistent and controlled melts.
