**Job Title: Forklift Operator (Kelowna)**
**Job Description**
This role involves safely and efficiently loading and unloading a wide variety of freight using a propane sit-down counterbalance (SDCB) forklift in a high-volume less-than-truckload (LTL) cross-dock environment. You will spend most of your shift operating the forklift in tight quarters, handling diverse and often heavy products, and ensuring accuracy using both paper and digital shipping systems. The position starts as a contract with the possibility of extension depending on internal hiring processes.
**Responsibilities**
Operate a propane sit-down counterbalance (SDCB) forklift for approximately 80% of each shift to load and unload freight from trailers and containers in an LTL cross-dock environment.
Handle a wide range of freight types and sizes, from small parcels to large items such as fridges and tires, ensuring secure and stable placement on the forklift and in trailers.
