Position Overview
Summary The Foreign Affairs Officer position is located within the Office of the Legal Adviser, Law Enforcement and Intelligence (L/LEI) responsible for both legal and policy oversight of the Department's role in matters involving international extradition of individuals in criminal cases. S/he serves as the Extradition Specialist with expertise in extradition-related activities and is responsible for overseeing the management of extradition agreements and relationships with other countries. Responsibilities Serves as the action officer and is the initial point of contact for extradition requests, both to and from the United States, and ensures effective communication of policy and guidance regarding extradition to stakeholders.
