The Niskayuna Central School District is now accepting applications for a Probationary Food Service Helper.

ASSIGNMENT: Glencliff Elementary School; 10 months per year; 20 hours per week.

GENERAL INFORMATION: This position involves responsibility for assisting in the routine preparation and serving of meals, and for the cleaning of kitchen equipment. The work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher level employee on the food service staff. The incumbent does related work as required.

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:


+ Sets tables;

+ Heats precooked meals;

+ Cleans tables of dirty dishes;

+ Fills sugar bowls and salt and pepper shakers;

+ Cleans vegetables;

+ Prepares meal trays;

+ Polishes silverware, cleans trays, dining room tables and chairs;
