RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the safe transfer and transport of patients and items from one area of the hospital to another, to support transport needs to and from buildings related to the Medical Center.
• Responsible for safely performing and teaching patient lifts/transfers by utilizing appropriate body mechanics, lifting equipment, following proper procedures and working collaboratively with Nursing, Rehab, and other caregivers.
• Performs a variety of duties pertaining to patient care, material and supply distribution and equipment assembly.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, standing.
• Constant: walking
• Frequent: lifting up to maximum 50 pounds, pushing/pulling up to maximum 50 pounds of force; carrying up to 40 pounds for a distance of 10 feet, gripping of an object, pushing and pulling up to 30 pounds of force, lifting up to 10 pounds, sitting, stooping/...
