Perform routine and advanced maintenance and repair on buses, vans, and other vehicles in accordance with First Student standards. Responsibilities include tire maintenance, service calls, visual inspections, and related tasks. This role works with minimal supervision, handles more complex repairs, and may escalate highly technical issues to senior technicians. A strong commitment to safety is essential. May provide informal guidance to Technician I employees.

This role pays **$27.00/hr.** based on the current collective bargaining agreement.

**Major Responsibilities**

+ Perform routine and advanced maintenance to ensure vehicles are safe and operational, including replacement of bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, and performing fluid checks, changes, and lubrication
+ Complete mechanical repairs under moderate supervision, including brakes, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drivetrains, transmission clutches, and related systems
