The Fire Instructor plays a key role in the delivery, coordination, and continuous improvement of the Firefighter Foundation Development Programme.

This role provides advanced instructional expertise, quality assurance oversight, and leadership within the instructor Team, ensuring all FFDP learners receive consistent, high‑quality training aligned to National Operational Guidance.

The postholder acts as a mentor to instructors, supports curriculum development, and contributes to the professional standards, safety, and operational excellence of the FFDP.

Responsibilities

Deliver high‑quality practical and theoretical training across FFDP modules, including BA, RTC, Pumps & Water, Ladders, Hose & Hydraulics, and Fire Behaviour.

Conduct learner assessments in accordance with FSC standards.
