Position Overview
Overview Role: Escalations Officer – Financial Crime Operations (UAE). This role is focused on ensuring effective and compliant suspicious activity reporting in branches across UAE. You will perform assessments and make decisions on reports escalated from the first line of defence, helping prevent financial crime and maintain trust.
Responsibilities - Act as the escalation point for suspicious activity cases
- Ensure accurate and timely SARs are submitted according to local requirements
- Respond to regulatory inquiries and other requests from local authorities related to SARs
- Manage queries requiring a second line of defence review
- Collaborate with the MLRO and escalate significant cases
- Monitor and detect rare or new patterns, and report emergent trends in suspicious activity
