Finance Manager

Job Type: Full Time (On‑Site) (4 days a week)
Location: Merritt, BC

We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance Team. The team ensures the municipality meets its responsibilities for financial management under the Community Charter and Local Government Act.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Finance Team and support the Director of Finance with municipal financial affairs.
• Analyze and interpret financial and budgetary reports, prepare reports and statements.
• Administer property tax and utility billing and lead year‑end activities.
• Participate in special projects and promote effective communication across functions.
• Review and approve staff work in accounts payable and receivable, bookkeeping, clerical and customer‑facing duties.
• Provide training, share knowledge, troubleshoot, and communicate openly with encouragement.
