**Job Description**

The Fiber Technician installs, splices, tests, and maintains fiber optic cable across a variety of environments, ensuring high-quality connectivity and reliable network performance. This role combines hands-on field work with technical troubleshooting, including reading and interpreting technical documents, performing precise splices, and conducting detailed testing using specialized equipment.

**Responsibilities**

+ Splice various types and sizes of fiber optic cable, including single-mode, multimode, stranded, and ribbon cables, with a strong focus on accurate ribbon splicing.
+ Analyze and troubleshoot basic technical issues related to fiber optic installations, connectivity, and performance.
+ Review, interpret, and work from maps, drawings, blueprints, schematics, and testing documents to plan and complete fiber work accurately.
