This position will be in Damascus, Syria, and the candidate will need to relocate
Position Objectives Plan and optimise DWDM and optical transport network capacity, covering wavelength planning, optical path design, equipment capacity, protection, diversity, and implementation-ready transport documentation.
Job Description and Responsibilities - Prepare DWDM/optical transport plans for backbone, metro, and inter-site connectivity requirements.
- Translate traffic demand, service requirements, and IP/MPLS needs into wavelength, channel, OTN, and transport capacity plans.
- Design and validate optical paths, protection schemes, diversity, regeneration requirements, ROADM/OADM usage (including CDC-F ROADM), transponder capacity, and power budget constraints.
- Strong in optical spectrum, such as ITU-T grids and Flex Grid as Super Channels.
