Founded over 50 years ago, the mission of the EOC system is to “provide urban communities with innovative academic programs leading to higher education and vocational training programs leading to gainful employment and economic self-sufficiency.”

Adult education teachers and tutors help bridge the gap between millions of Americans marginalized by their limited education and a job market that increasingly demands more advanced skills. Many of our students have been educationally under-served and have had negative experiences with prior schooling. Therefore, the EOC provides support services such as the EOC Tutoring Center.
