Farm Irrigator

Performs irrigation and pre-irrigation tasks for vegetable and summer crops, including laying and repairing pipes and drip tape, monitoring water flow and booster pumps, inspecting irrigated areas to prevent waste, and ensuring all equipment is handled safely and maintained properly.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Performs irrigation operations for vegetable crops and various summer crops.
• Performs pre-irrigation operations to lay irrigation pipes or drip tape for planting. Germination irrigation, and drip tape irrigation.
• Ensures that proper safety measures are utilized in the handling of irrigation equipment.
• Inspects the area irrigated to ensure adequate soaking and to prevent water waste.
• Waits for a signal from the foreperson to start the water flow.
• Monitors water applications to ensure that specifications are met.
