Position Overview
A leading law firm is seeking a Solicitor to join its Family department, based in Somerset. The role is open to candidates from newly qualified level up to approximately five years’ post-qualification experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a caseload of legal aid matters, under supervision, ensuring cases and transactions are progressed efficientlyLiaising directly with clients to take instructions and providing clear guidance that meets client expectationsWorking closely with Partners and senior Lawyers to enhance client relationship skillsProactively building and strengthening relationships with smaller clientsScoping and pricing work effectively, with appropriate supervisionPreparing and progressing advocacy matters while negotiating appropriate outcomes for clientsEnsuring compliance with relevant SRA principles and professional conduct rulesAdhering to all risk management policies and procedures
