The Family Development Educator serves as a member of the Family Development Team to deliver programming and assist with the evaluation, planning and management of Family Development programs to childcare providers and parents in Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida Counties. The educator will deliver established educational programs to childcare providers and parents on topics including, but not limited to: Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) guidelines, importance of physical activity, engaged learning environments, program organization and routine, parent and provider communication, developmentally appropriate practice, program development, business practices, professionalism and responsibility. This position will provide data entry of participant data requiring confidentiality. The Educator will provide information to participants regarding other Extension programs, community agencies, and services as needed.
