EXPERIENCED SELF LEVELLING FELLING MACHINE OPERATOR

We are looking for a highly experienced Self-Levelling Felling Machine Operator to join a busy, well established forestry crew working across the East Coast and Gisborne and East Coast region. This role is suited to a highly skilled operator who has experience in tethered felling & is confident working on steep terrain and understands the demands of modern mechanised harvesting.

About the Role :

• Operating a self-levelling machine in steep slope forestry 
• Carrying out safe and efficient tree felling in line with harvest plans 
• Working closely with crew members to maintain production targets 
• Setting up tether machine & anchoring to it. 
• Operating in challenging terrain & varying weather conditions 
• Daily machine checks & basic maintenance
