We are Playdead, an independent game company based in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. We have made two critically acclaimed titles, LIMBO and INSIDE. Our current project is a 3rd-person science fiction adventure rendered in a realistic but markedly stylised manner.
Job description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate texture and material artist with both outstanding digital painting skills and a strong technical foundation. You will be responsible for hand-painting key textures as well as designing materials for the game, stylised in accordance with the art direction. You will build and set up high quality materials in Unreal Engine and collaborate with the art team and other departments to prototype materials and ensure continuity with visual style. Your technical know-how will enable you to give consideration to game performance and overcoming technical constraints in the pipeline.
