Summary You will serve as an EXHIBITS SPECIALIST in the AIRCRAFT RESTORATION DIVISION of NATIONAL MUSEUM OF NAVAL AVIATION. Responsibilities You will perform work in the restoration and maintenance of aircraft, components and artifacts to be exhibited. You will take steps to preserve exhibits and restore to original design features. You will repair and/or replace components which are deteriorated or missing. You will perform regular inspections of all Museum aircraft exhibits and their component parts. You will answer visitor's questions, giving general information and directions related to historic aircraft and exhibit restoration processes. You will use various hand powered tools and machines such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, all types of welding and cutting equipment. You will be working in non-climate-controlled spaces and be required to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, work on ladders/lifts, and lift up to 75lbs.
