Position Overview
Responsibilities: Handle Own Damage Claims, Windscreen Claims, Third Party Property Claims, Third Party Injury Claims, excess recoveries and nonβBOLA recoveries. Liaise with policyholders, intermediaries, investigators, surveyors, adjusters, lawyers, third party claimants and workshops. Guide assistants in their support roles. Manage and process claims expeditiously, professionally and equitably, within agreed service standards, benchmarks or applicable protocols, subject to Management's approval for claim settlements or offers relating to fatal or serious bodily injury claims. Approve payments within the limit of authority and ensure accuracy of payment details. Attend solicitors' offices, court hearings, meetings and seminars when required. Communicate with panel solicitors and third party solicitors for cases where Originating Claims have been issued refer matters to solicitors to enter appearance if unable to settle, and seek advice on liability and quantum.
