Pelee Island is a critical node in Lake Erie on two major hemispheric migratory flyways and internationally designated as an Important Bird and Key Biodiversity Area. Founded in 2004, PIBO operates one of Canada's longest continuous bird monitoring programs and delivers internationally recognized long-term monitoring data.
