Scope and Accountabilities

Inclusion NWT is a non‑profit organization registered under the Societies Act of the Northwest Territories and a registered charity under the Federal Income Tax Act. Founded in 1963, it provides a variety of programs and services for persons with intellectual or other disabilities, as well as their families. Today, Inclusion NWT is directed by a volunteer Board of Directors and employs about 120 full‑and part‑time staff as well as many casual employees who provide services in six different service areas. Services range from supported & independent living to education supports, to employment opportunities and supports, to peer groups and community activities. Inclusion NWT’s annual operating budget is approximately $4.5 million plus variable donations.
