Position Summary
: This course provides Teacher Candidates with a foundation in established and emerging theories of learning and how they inform and influence teaching practice. Throughout the course, all aspects of development, including physical, social, cognitive, and emotional, will be addressed in a digital, global context with relevant classroom applications. The course will emphasize topics related to the middle-childhood and adolescent students.Successful candidate will work with the course lead and/or team in order to provide consistency across sections.
Assets for a successful candidate: Doctoral degree in Education; post-secondary teaching experience in teacher education; school leadership/scholarship in the area of learning theories and child development; Ontario teaching experience
