Georgia Power is hiring an engineer or scientist with at least 5 years of experience for our Environmental Affairs Team based in Atlanta, Georgia. This role focuses on applying solid waste permitting and compliance strategies across our operations. We are looking for someone who is meticulous, curious, and eager to work in the coal combustion residuals (CCR) rule compliance space. You will work closely with our internal technical and regulatory teams as well as with third-party consultants, regulators, vendors, and industry experts.


**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**



+ Experience interpreting and applying regulations, solid waste permitting, Georgia Solid Waste rules, and CCR rule knowledge and experience are a plus.
