Oversees the environmental program and may assist in planning, directing, and coordinating the implementation of local environmental policy. Responsible for local implementation of a comprehensive environmental management oversight program. Incumbent provides local staff training, presentations, and briefings for “lessons learned” regarding environmental issues. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
