Job Description Candidates are expected to:-

-To be responsible for running and maintenance of the engine room and deck machinery of the tug.
-To be responsible for the bunkering, monitoring and recording of fuel/oil consumption of the craft.
-To attend to minor repairs of tug equipment and machinery.
-To report and record in the Engine Log Book any breakdown of engine, machinery and any accident.
-To submit timely the detailed PM defect list prior to the PM schedule date.
-To assist Technicians during repairs and PMs.
-To ensure that the machinery, equipment, etc, on board the tug are greased and maintained regularly.
-To handle towlines/tow winch and equipment during tug operations as instructed by the Tug Master.
-To carry out cleaning and maintenance work of tug, deck, engine room, wheelhouse and other equipment and appliances on board tug.
-To perform lookout duties as required by tug master.
