Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is responsible for all aspects of patients' care within the scope of certification.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Accurately completes a pre-inspection and post-inspection sheet prior to and after your tour as per NJ DOH/DOT.
• Performs a visual inspection of the patient compartment, inside and out, and for cleanliness and damage.
• Cleans the patient compartment, equipment, and outside of vehicle as needed.
• Replaces damaged or missing items, noting deficiencies on Usage Report.
• Presents the signed, dated Vehicle/Equipment Checklist to the Supervisor.
• Ensures that the ambulance is at all times in compliance with applicable NJ Department of Health Regulations.
