Job Description
Job Summary: The Emergency Services Technician serves in a combination role and is competent to perform as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA), Telemetry Technician (TT) and/or a Unit Secretary (US) under the supervision of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, and/or physician in a fast-paced emergency department of a tertiary care facility with level one trauma designation. Demonstrates flexibility and readily accepts changing assignments and job duties at the beginning and throughout the shift as requested, e.g., Telemetry Technician, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Assistant. Provides direct/indirect, age-specific and developmentally appropriate patient care as directed and seeks information and clarification of duties throughout shift as necessary.
