Specialized work, under professional supervision, in the receipt of emergency medical calls, dispatching of appropriate emergency medical vehicles, driving emergency medical vehicles (specifically ambulance type vehicles), transportation and care of patients to a medical facility, and administration of basic emergency medical aid; and related work as required.
Possession of a current provisional or permanent National Registry Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician Basic.
Possession of a current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Possession of a current unrestricted EMS Certification or License from any state participating in the Recognition of EMS Personnel Licensure Interstate Compact (REPLICA), also known as the EMS Compact.
