Become a leader in military medicine as an Emergency Medical Officer with the CCFP(EM) designation within the Canadian Armed Forces. Offer critical resuscitative care and education in varied environments, both pre-hospital and hospital settings.
This role emphasizes clinical proficiency and involvement in multidisciplinary emergency response teams, both domestically and internationally. Medical Officers in this capacity will educate fellow health care professionals, maintain high clinical standards through civilian practice, and provide urgent care during transport of Canadian Armed Forces members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate in multidisciplinary emergency resuscitation teams
• Provide in-transport care for injured CAF members
• Educate teams on emergency resuscitation methods
• Engage in local civilian healthcare systems
• Contribute to CAF health care policy development
