**Description**

**Job Summary**

Responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of the mechanical systems and accessory components to ensure proper certification, licensing and continuous operation. Installs, maintains, and repairs elevator equipment, controls, lighting and circuits. Ensures work in in accordance with NAVFAC MO-118 and ASME A17.2.

**Primary Job Functions**

+ Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on electrical support equipment.
+ Locates and determines causes of trouble in brakes, motors, switches and signal and control systems using test lamps, ammeters, and voltmeters. Maintains and repairs elevators, lifts and similar equipment. Replace cables, elevator doors, perform major modernization and alteration work, such as replacing electric motors, hydraulic pumps, and control panels.
