Job Description

Divine Mercy Catholic Academy is looking for an ELA and or Social Studies teacher for Gr. 5 - 8 or (5/6, 7/8) We are a faith filled community with a family spirit. We are looking for a teacher who is a practicing Catholic and who can bring enthusiasm and creativity to the subjects and who can instill a sense of excitement for learning in the students. A teacher who can enrich each child's development by requiring academic excellence by providing opportunities that challenge students and recognize individual achievement. A teacher with experience with differentiated and center-based learning.
The teacher will have a homeroom in which they will teach Religion, and ELA and/or Social Studies to Gr. 5 - 8 or 5/ 6, 7/8. Participation in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats and community events is expected, as well as, attendance at faculty meetings, professional development sessions and school events.
