Opportunity is Part Time 10:00am-3:00pm
Performs a wide variety of electro-neurodiagnostic studies including EEG, evoked potentials and specialized studies in the lab, and at the bedside of critically ill patients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Measures and accurately applies electrodes in a timely manner, according to the International 10 - 20 System. Ensures that electrode impedances meet standards.Develops a comprehensive patient history by gathering information from patient, medical record and family members including seizure type, date of last seizure and other neurological symptoms. Provides patient and family education by explaining the procedure and purpose of the study and the report reading and turn around process.Performs EEG record according to standards (routine, sleep, at bedside and electrocerebral silence recordings).Implements alternate methods or adjusts controls to obtain optimal re...
