Position Overview
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment onboard the dredger.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per planned maintenance schedules.
- Inspect and repair valves, bearings, seals, couplings, and rotating machinery.
- Assist in overhauling marine and dredging equipment during breakdowns and dry docking.
- Monitor machinery performance and report abnormalities to the Chief Engineer.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and safe operation of all mechanical systems.
- Maintain workshop tools, spare parts inventory, and maintenance records onboard.
- Follow company HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and marine safety regulations during all maintenance activities.
