Job Summary

Develops teletherapy and brachytherapy patient treatment plans. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range in assigned clinical area.
Job Duties


+ Discusses desired treatment plan with the radiation oncologist and the radiation oncology physicist in Radiation Oncology.

+ Prepares patient contours using generally established methods including CT scans or MR images.

+ Supervises or checks all measurements and other patient data.

+ With radiation oncologist, locates on the patient images any points of significance and, within the contour, all significant tumor and organ outlines.

+ As appropriate and in consultation with the radiation oncology physicist, produces an external beam treatment plan for each patient, with appropriate alternative plans.

+ Presents treatment plans to the radiation oncologist for evaluation.
