Position: Dispatch Scheduler (Albany Market)

Reports to: Distribution Manager

Full Time - Exempt

Shifts:

12 - 9 P.M.

1 - 10 P.M. (Shifts include 1 hour Meal Period)

2 - 11 P.M.

Pay: $62,353.20 - $75,000.00 per year

Position Summary

The Scheduler is responsible for planning and optimizing future work, ensuring routes are efficient, balanced, and cost-effective. This role focuses on tomorrow and beyond, not same-day execution.

Key Responsibilities


+ Build and optimize delivery routes in advance (1–2 days out)

+ Balance workload across drivers and regions

+ Schedule customer deliveries based on priority, geography, and efficiency

+ Plan around capacity, equipment, and staffing levels

+ Prepare dispatch-ready routes for the next day

+ Adjust schedules based on weather, market conditions, and demand spikes
