Internship Job Description

During the 11‑month internship you will work in advanced simulation of complex metallic structures from a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance perspective, contributing to the state of the art in Continuum Damage Mechanics (CDM) at Airbus Defence & Space. Responsibilities include:

• Develop new approaches in advanced simulation of complex metallic structures from a Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) point of view.
• Contribute to the application of Continuum Damage Mechanics (CDM) to F&DT, expanding the current in‑house framework (Abaqus, Python, etc).
• Perform Verification & Validation activities against physical data derived from CDM‑based simulations.
• Apply these contributions to analyse real scenarios.
