Position Overview
Work with Project Engineers, overseeing the tooling, engineering, and project management activities of the company.Manage Project Engineers who lead the design, mold build, and qualification activities from first article to customer acceptance to approved production.Track overall project management for new domestic and offshore mold builds, ensuring accountability to costs and profit through tool approval.Collaborate with the Toolroom Manager to manage toolroom operations, including performance to standards and profitability.Be an integral part of the RFQ team to evaluate new opportunities, generate tooling quotations, and identify engineering design and moldability issues with potential new work.Perform and assist in tool design reviews.Run CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.Perform and analyze mold flows.Be familiar with the many types of injection molding resins.Recommend resins to customers suitab...
