Position Overview
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President/Director of Athletics, the Director of Fencing is responsible for organizing and conducting the men’s and women’s fencing intercollegiate athletic program. The programs shall be conducted under the rules and regulations of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Northeast Conference, any other fencing-specific affiliated membership, and the University. The incumbent is also responsible for supervising Assistant Coaches; teaching, evaluating and refining sport specific skill development for student-athletes; and recruitment of qualified student-athletes within the university and NCAA Division I guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
2. 7-10 years of experience preferred as a fencing head coach at the intercollegiate level.
3. Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules.
