Position Overview
Reporting to the Vice President, Labour Relations, the Director, Labour Relations provides functional leadership in the development and implementation of Labour Relations strategies for a unionized colleague population in a major Canadian retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading aspects of labour relations for a specific unionized colleague population, under the direction of the Vice President, Labour Relations
- Develop strong, constructive working relationships with labor union representatives
- Partner with the business leaders to manage the development and implementation of long and short term strategic labour objectives
- Lead a team of LR Managers and LR Specialists in the administration of key labour relations functions, including grievance management, dispute resolution and the development and implementation of labour relations initiatives
