Position Overview
**Job Description**
Under general supervision of licensed physicians, performs and/or assists in performing all routine mammographic examinations in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. Sets up, adjusts, and operates mammography equipment, selecting proper technical factors to obtain accurate diagnostic images; properly positions and immobilizes patients. Responds to patientsβ needs as required. Maintains cleanliness of equipment and general working area, stocking clinical supplies. Ensures proper operation of x-ray equipment. Performs mammographic procedures including needle localization, seed localization, and stereotactic biopsy.
**Qualifications**
1. Prior work experience of twelve months is desired in order to gain familiarity on-the-job with administration of radiologic testing. Should be familiar with most major models of radiologic testing equipment. New x-ray technologists require a period of 30 days in order to orient th...
