Diagnostic Imaging Program Manager

The VISN 1 Diagnostic Imaging Program Manager (DIPM) provides operational and management support to the VISN 1 Imaging Program Director in all areas related to diagnostic imaging. He/she is organizationally structured under the Imaging Service Line Director and reports directly to him/her. The VISN Diagnostic Imaging Program includes eight medical centers, each with varying complexities of imaging procedures and selected CBOCs with imaging capabilities. The incumbent ensures acceptable levels of system performance, maintains a system of quality control, and provides support in the operation and management of the digital image acquisition, processing, storage and display process. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Serves as the VISN operational leader in planning, developing and coordinating the operational components of the diagnostic imaging services.
