Position Overview
**Job Description**
The Design & Release Engineer (DRE) – Aftertreatment Hardware is responsible for the design, development, validation, and production release of exhaust aftertreatment hardware including catalytic converters, exhaust particulate filters, catalyst washcoat, catalyst substrates, attachment brackets, and heat shields. This role owns components from concept through launch, working closely with cross-functional teams and global aftertreatment suppliers to deliver high-quality, production-ready designs.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Own end-to-end design and release of exhaust aftertreatment components
+ Lead PDT meetings for assigned components
+ Lead DFMEA, DVP&R, validation, and PPAP activities with suppliers
+ Serve as primary technical interface with exhaust aftertreatment suppliers for feasibility, tooling, validation, and launch
