Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Design Automation Software Development Engineer (DFT) for a top semiconductor client. This engineer will develop, test, deploy, and support design automation software tools and methodologies used in SoC ASIC Design-for-Test development. 50% of the time will be spent scripting and automating EDA tool flows using Bash, Perl, Python, Ruby, or Tcl, 25% will be user support and the remaining 25% will be training & future project assessment. The engineer will debug tool- and design-flow-related issues encountered by IC designers, support synthesis, insertion, integration, and verification of test logic, and enable generation of production tests for manufacturing. This role also includes collaborating directly with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues, deploying evolving DFT architecture solutions, and providing training, documentation, and global support to engineering teams across multiple geographies.
