CTCCU is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced critical care nurse to join our dynamic team in the role of Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse. CTCCU is a 21 bedded unit providing level two and three care to patients following cardiac, major aortic and thoracic surgery, and to those with acute cardiac medical conditions. This challenging, exciting and supportive environment will facilitate the ongoing advancement of your specialist critical care skills, with opportunities to develop skills in invasive and non‑invasive modes of ventilation and weaning, the use of ventricular assist devices, cardiac output monitoring and haemofiltration, acute arrhythmia management, advanced ECG interpretation, IABP therapy and active participation in the PPCI service. Going forward there will also be opportunities to train and develop expertise in the management of patients requiring ECMO.
