Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Independently handle the entire procurement cycle from PR receipt through Oracle/Locate, floating inquiries, evaluating quotations, creating comparative statements, to final supplier payment terms.
Create and execute long-term category plans for MRO areas to minimize stock-outs and optimize spending.
Implement Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) and Just-in-Time (JIT) methodologies to successfully reduce excess stock and lower storage costs.
Lead the process of identifying new suppliers, conducting RFQs, performing annual vendor evaluations, and maintaining an updated approved vendor list.
Negotiate procurement/service contracts and effectively settle vendor disputes regarding quantity, quality, and pricing in consultation with internal stakeholders.
Proactively identify and mitigate business and OHSE-related risks within the procurement process while driving cost-effective local sourcing initiatives.
