Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the laboratory, ensuring accurate and timely analysis of coal, ash, water, and other plant-related materials.
Manage and oversee water quality testing, including raw water, boiler feed water, cooling water, and effluent discharge analysis.
Supervise and manage coal analysis processes, including sampling, proximate/ultimate analysis, calorific value determination, ash fusion, and moisture content tests.
Monitor supplier coal quality compliance and provide actionable feedback to procurement and operations teams.
Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory quality control procedures in line with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure calibration, and troubleshooting issues.
Maintain inventory of chemicals.
Qualification & Experience:
BSc Chemical/Chemistry (Master degree Preferred)
Experience: (8-10) years Coal based Power Plant.
