Summary The Deputy Associate Administrator (AA) for Shipbuilding and Industry Expansion serves as a deputy to the Associate Administrator for Maritime Industry Support and Shipbuilding. The Deputy AA is responsible for the following areas: Office of New Shipbuilding, Office of Ship Acquisitions, Office of Technical Reviews, Office of Deep-Water Ports, and Office of Shipyards and Marine Engineering. Responsibilities The Deputy AA for Shipping and Industry Expansion advises and consults with the Associate Administrator for Maritime Industry Support and Shipbuilding in recommending actions and the development of policies of far-reaching consequences with respect to the role of the Maritime Administration in maximizing all financial, grant and insurance Develops and execute policies, programs, and initiatives designed to support the nations maritime transportation system (e.g., shipbuilding, ship repair, waterways and ports development).
