This is an exciting opportunity to join the Nissan Institute of Japanese Studies, a leading centre for the study of contemporary Japan in the world, which is in the Oxford School of Global and Area Studies, to develop experience in teaching and course administration and to advance a research agenda. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lecture and teach graduate students, to contribute to academic administration of both departments, and engage in advanced study and academic research. Key Responsibilities: • Contribute to the MSc and MPhil in Japanese Studies teaching programme, including Research Methods, an Option course on the Economy and Business of Japan, and dissertation supervision.
• Contribute to the Global and Area Studies programme, and/or the undergraduate Japanese Studies programme, as requested by the Director.
