Prepare treatment room for patients following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area; positioning instruments for the dentist's access; suctioning; and passing instruments.
Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments.
Perform and develop radiographic images (PA X-rays).
Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative instructions.
Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
Ensure operations of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
