Position Overview
Responsibilities - Oversee the company’s fleet of trucks (maintenance, scheduling, fuel, tracking).
- Ensure vehicles comply with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Plan and schedule daily/weekly deliveries.
- Assign drivers and routes for maximum efficiency.
- Monitor delivery progress and resolve delays or issues.
- Supervise distribution staff (drivers, dispatchers, warehouse support if applicable).
- Manage workflow to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Develop and implement distribution policies and procedures.
- Serve as the point of contact for customers regarding delivery times.
- Handle delivery-related inquiries and complaints.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through timely updates and issue resolution.
